Biography

Marcia was born in Pittsfield, MA in 1954, and currently resides in Asheville, North Carolina.
She is well established in North Carolina as a realist painter. She paints in oil and watercolor from photographs she takes of friends and people she meets at Native American Pow-wows and other locations.
Marcia loves painting the human form. With meticulous attention to detail, she tells a story with her art, either by capturing a subject's gaze, a motion or pose, or by combining several photos and composing a picture which might reflect life in the past. She also paints landscapes,wildlife and fantasy art, and has done numerous commissioned pieces.
Marcia majored in illustration at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
